Paillasson Childcare Centre

Saint-Henri,
Montreal,  2004

Located in the St-Henri neighbourhood, the childcare centre’s playground was previously almost all asphalt and needed to be refreshed. The new yard includes a playground structure on a mulch surface, a space dedicated to toddlers, a cycling path, a calmer play space, a custom water installation designed by our team, a wooden storage as well as plants and shrubs.

Soft or pale colours and surfaces, with (when possible) wood and mulch, were chosen for their comfort and charm. Playground and water installations bring a touch of colour which animates and livens the space. The project offers a safe and high-quality outdoor space for neighbourhood children who can explore the seasons and elements of nature throughout the year and develop their motricity at their own rhythm.
